この番組では、アジア3か国（シンガポール・タイ・インドネシア）の若手タレントが日本のシェアハウス「WASABI HOUSE」で共同生活をしながら“日本文化MISSION”で対決する様子を追う。MISSION成功の暁には、なんと日本の芸能界デビュー！？ しかし選ばれるのはたったひとり・・・！
果たしてMISSIONを一番多く成功させられるのは誰？
"Find the WASABI!" is a reality-TV series in which three young celebs from Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia come to Japan and live in a share-house together. In each episode, they battle each other on challenging cultural missions where they must find the “secret spice” of Japan. Their ultimate goal? The title of WASABI CHAMPION! The winner may find him/herself making their debut into Japan’s entertainment world! But there can only be one winner… who will it be?
MISSIONを出すのはWASABI HOUSEオーナーの篠原ともえ。外国人タレントたちに日本の文化や歴史、最新の流行などをテーマにゲーム形式で対決させ、日本に対する理解をより深めてもらう。また、慣れない日本で右往左往するタレントたちをサポートするのはWASABI HOUSEコンシェルジュのマッシュー。カリフォルニア生まれ、東京育ちというマッシューが内から外から見る日本とは？
Giving challenging “missions” to the international celebs is WASABI HOUSE owner SHINOHARA Tomoe. By competing to get the highest score on these missions featuring Japanese culture, history and the coolest trends, the celebs gain a deeper understanding of Japan. Supporting them throughout their stay in Japan is WASABI HOUSE concierge, Matthew IRETON − born in California, and raised in Tokyo. What is the “Japan” seen through his eyes?
『Find the WASABI!』は、シンガポール最大のテレビ局・MediaCorpとTBSとの共同製作番組。シンガポールでは地上波「Channel U」において、2014年2月18日(火)より『Find the WASABI!』(よる8時〜)が放送開始された。なお、タイ、インドネシアでの放送も目指している。
"Find the WASABI!" is an international co-production between Singapore’s leading media company MediaCorp TV and TBS in Japan. Broadcasts are well underway in Japan and have started in Singapore on February 18 (Tuesdays at 8PM) on MediaCorp’s free-to-air Chinese channel - Channel U. Broadcasts in Thailand and Indonesia are slated to start in spring 2014.
そして、番組のテーマ曲「 Time Will Find A Way」は、今回のMISSIONに挑戦するパームが所属するタイのバンド／INSTINCTと日本のバンド／WEAVERとのコラボレーションで制作される。アジアの新たなコラボレーションにも注目だ。
