Mozambique Diary

On operations:
We are working at Mussala's village an area near to Cuamba district with high soil contamination, this ground after clearance will benefit the populations and they can make farms and use the church for praying and more benefits. We are working in our last week of campaign and we'll deploy seven days.
The life in general
My name is Luis Carlos, I'm 33 years old, born in Nampula, married and with four children, three girls two at the school at grade three, the boy at grade four and the last girl not at the school yet.
I studied until grade six. My primary school I did at primary school of Limoeiros and the secondary of Nampula did not go further because of army.
I join HALO as a Deminer since 2001 by radio announcement.
I am a Muslim but not making anything as a Muslim and I've no Party. I do drink, smoke and like to have girl friends.
I'm proud of my self because I do what I think and with a good results most of times, I'm working and I've got my own house which I built with the money I received before join HALO as gift from my fother, no problems with my team never had warning from my boss.
My big worried are when my campaign prolongs, I would like to HALO review the salaries and also if HALO can review the system of helping at funerals of the workers.
Since I started demining in HALO I already two mines and I felt scared but not for much longer because I sow lot at army.
On my future I would like to be as Location Manager.
