On operations:
We are working at Mussala's village an area of approximately 40.052m2 near Cuamba district according to our plans and average of square metres a day we presume to Finnish our task at end of Year but also depends on rain season, but according to this that will be impossible to be finished at this year will have tom move over to 2004 because will need a help of Mechanical team at area which is with high soil contamination, this ground after clearance will benefit the populations and they can make farms and use the church for praying and more benefits.
The life in general
My name is Domingos Victor Jaime , with 26 years old, was born in Zambezia at Macuse district , married, resident in Zambezia Majuao Village, with one child and with five dependents (family).
I studied until grade eight general educations at Macuse Centre for the Primary Education and Quelimane for Secondary Educations did not go further because I had to stop to help my fother on his business".
I join HALO as a Deminer since August 2001 by radio and news paper announcements.
I am a Catholic and a supporter of Renamo's Party. No drink, no smoke but like listen to the African music.
Before join to HALO I was not working was just making small business as a street seller elping my fother and money which we end during that period was just to have a meal and to rent a house us , now I'm happy because I've got my own property which I started building my house with the money which I end in HALO not very big sufficient to us , I would like to have on my house a various goods and better education to my daughter maybe one day buy a car to my business.
I fill my self good with the opportunity I've, but some problems I use to have with my family which are leaving with me but without no job or business to do to help at expenditures in the house.
Use to be a worried when the campaign prolongs sometimes ten days more .
On my demining experience I already found a lot of mines only at the first I felt bad and scared but my team helped me a lot and I've no wornings at all on a team and HALO.
If HALO can provide gloves for our demining kits because of some wounds of grass and plants cutting our selfs during the our demining campaigns.
I use to have refreshing training which makes my skills as deminer better at beginning of year.
The HALO should give at list a bonus for teams when the campaign prolongs, on my opinion.
