Mozambique Diary

On operations:
We're working at Mussala village an area of approximately 40.050m2 near Quamba district, the team are split in two sections working in the same minefield, the mined area is around the church and close to the village that's why we having problems with metal contaminations in the area, this ground after clearance will benefit the populations and they can make farms and use the church for praying.
The life in general
My name is Sylvester Pedro Jamal, married with 28 years old, resident in Nampula province but I was born in Zambezia province in Mause village, I have two children, first born is five years old and studying at grade three and the second born is nine years old.
I studied until grade eight in a school called Centro Educational de Mouse then I went to carry on with my studies in Centro Educational de Mouse secondary school. I had to stop studying to join the army.
I'm catholic, I'm a supporter of Renamo's Party. I drink, don't smoke and I like to dance and listen to music.
I've got my own habitation not very good but is mine that's what makes me proud and I built after I joined Halo Trust, I never had problems with my colleagues at work or with my neighbours at the village where I'm staying.
In the future I would like to buy furniture for my house and save some money for educations for my children.
At Halo Trust I'm a deminer and I found 6(six) mines, when I found the first I was not very scared because was well sensibilized and I do my job with love.
I did work in ECMEP and Mota both companies are Road constructors and at both I left because my contracts finished.
With the money I got from Halo "salary" make my dreams real and my life much better.
My plans are, built my own house and get married soon, save more money to buy a vehicle (pickup) to do some business.
I'm a good guy, with no problems in Halo good relationship with others, also on my village and on my view our office staffs are helpful and I never had written warning.
