Mozambique Diary

On operations:
We're on Mecula Barracks task, about 48000m2 and the area is with 3000 peoples, we due have some problems with metal pieces because of our task is around the village and near to the garbage.
The life in general
My name is Joaquim Saraiva, I am 27 years old, I was born in Moma in Nampula Province, I'm single and with two children, the first is a boy he's four years old and the second is a girl with eight years old she is attending standard three. I studied until grade seven, my primary grade was in Nampula at Muhala Expansao primary School and the secondary grade at Moma Secondary School.
I am Muslim, I do five prays a day sometimes it is difficulty due because of the nature of my job, when I gave up my school I started working as an assistant- mechanic of vehicles, the money I earned as assistant-mechanic was low for me, so I had to look for a job and luckily I've joined The HALO Trust since 2001 now I'm very happy with my job now in Halo Trust, the people, job, salary everything, I never had fight with my colleges, verbal/written warning from my supervisor or Superiors and in the place I leave for about eleven years old and I've no problems with my neabours. I am Muslim, I do five prays a day sometimes it is difficulty due the nature of my job, I'm a supporter of Frelimo political party since 1998, I hope Frelimo wins the next general elections, I do drink, smoke and I like listen to music and I dance.
I've found about 7 mines, when I found my first mine I was very scared but was not new because I had lesson on my demining course.
I have a lot of dreams, but the first is to get married a soon as my life become better when safe money
When I am on leave I spent most of the time with my children's, we go together to town for shopping or just for a walk, my family is used to live long time without my presence, in the beginning they missed me very much but now they're used to my absence.
My main bet is to keep my children in the school and give them the best education not as I did.
