Georgia Diary

I am not fed up with singing the praises of the land in which I live. I had a few days off and used them to go to Moscow. Can you imagine - it was snowing there in October! This is so unusual for someone who lives in a warm country such as Abkhazia. Of course, comparison is senseless. Russia is a huge and impressive country but my small and warm Abkhazia suits me better. It is very difficult for someone who is accustomed to living such a slow rhythm of life as in Abkhazia to get used to the crazy life in Moscow. Some people there think it is still dangerous to go to Abkhazia for a rest, imagining that there is still a war. There is no war here any more although it is dangerous due to the mines and UXO.

All the time I was away from home I was thinking about my land which has suffered so much, and I was thinking of the day when it will be free of mines and UXO. And again I said to myself that I will do my best to clean it!
