Georgia Diary October 3, 2003
|
Starting this month we are working on a new minefield - Babushera Airport. It is the only airport in Abkhazia. It used to be a very busy airport with many planes and people flying all over the world from it. But now only a few UNOMIG helicopters and planes use it.
For me this place is very attractive as when I was a child I dreamed of being a pilot and flying big planes such as the Airbus. Whenever I see a plane flying up into the sky, my heart soars just as in childhood. Our team and I will do our best so that aircraft can land on the runways cleared of mines.
