05.48 am. We are close to our minefield. Jumping up and down in the vehicle we try to start the “calibration” of our mind for the work we are faced with. We also try to convince each other that today will be cooler than yesterday. To be honest - human nature is the strangest thing, which prefers not to have any standards or limits. During the summer time people miss the winter days and during the winter time people will pay 5 years of their life for one summer day. When living in a small town people dream for big cities, full of life and millions of lights, and after moving there they start to think about small peaceful streets. Last Friday we started the swimming season in the Gumista River, not far from us and got sunburned. We are all browner now than before. No, much more than before. To be close to the real picture - we have to have some kind of sign on our foreheads with our names for our supervisors or expats to recognise us on the minefield. OK, this is a short report about the Crusher team from a human point of view even although it is not directly connected with mineclearance but indirectly it makes it “hot”.
