Episode 9

The rebirth of the nation that Ryoma Sakamoto (Masaaki Uchino) has long dreamt about and fought for has come about in the form of the Meiji Restoration. The Tokugawa government, after 260-plus years of iron-fisted rule, has finally come to an end. This prompts Jin Minakata (Takao Osawa) to recall being told by his modern day girlfriend, Miki Tomonaga (Miki Nakatani), that Ryoma Sakamoto had been assassinated on his birthday. Here in the past, Jin realizes that only a month remains before that fateful day.

Jin, who has determined to save Ryoma no matter what departs with Saki Tachibana (Haruka Ayase) and Yusuke Saburi (Kenta Kiritani) for the capital to find Ryoma, but they can't find Ryoma anywhere in Kyoto and finally, November 15 - Ryoma's birthday - arrives. Will Jin be able to alter the course of history? What fate awaits Ryoma?
