THEME MUSIC

Togi Hideki is responsible for the theme music for the Toshodaiji Temple Project.

Born in Tokyo on October 12, 1959. Libra. Blood Type: B
Due to his father's career, he spent his early life living in Thailand and Mexico where he was exposed to The Beatles, Rock 'n Roll, Classical and Jazz music.
His debut album, "Togi Hideki" came out in 1996. He then left his position at the Imperial Household Agency-Music Section. Additional albums have followed.

On January 1st, 2000, he released two albums. One in which he collected ancient music and entitled "Gagaku--Heaven, Earth, Sky, A Thousand Years of Elegance"; the other composed of his original works called "TOGI SM2". "Gagaku--Heaven, Earth, Sky, A Thousand Years of Elegance" received the 14th Japan Golden Disc Award and the National Heritage Music Album of the Year Award. In addition, the video of the concert performance of "Gagaku-Heaven, Earth, Sky, A Thousand Years of Elegance" was released. Here we offer the fascination of Togi Hideki, a man who spans the classical Heian Era world of scrolls and gagaku music and the contemporary world of his own creations. His work will expand beyond the world of music into a variety of media opportunities
