April 1998 : Research for the restoration begins
October 1998 : Inauguration of the National Treasure Toshodaiji Temple Golden : Hall Restoration Project Executive Committee
January 2000 : Restoration of the Golden Hall begins
September 2000 : Construction of restoration facilities within the temple compound : which will be used for work on the Buddhist figures
December 2000 : Complete construction of the scaffolding for the Golden Hall. : Removal of "Rushana-Butsu" and "Sennju-kannon" figures
April 2001 : Begin disassembling the hall and research
March 2002 : Complete restoration of "Rushana-Butsu" and "Sennju-kannon" figures
December 2003 : Complete disassembling the hall and research
October 2004 : Begin reassembling the hall
September 2007 : Complete reassembling the hall
March 2008 : Removal of the scaffolding over the Golden Hall
April 2009 : Return of the Buddhist statues to the hall
August 2009 : Dedication service for the Heisei Toshodaiji Temple Golden Hall Restoration Project
