TBS announces partnering with Amarin TV in Thailand for new TV programming

November 04, 2015

Tokyo Broadcasting System Holdings, in collaboration with Thai digital terrestrial broadcaster Amarin TV, are joined by Japanese TV shopping company Grand Marché and four JNN network local broadcasters, in the production of a TV program series to introduce Thai viewers to the appeal of travel and shopping in Japan.

Thailand's Amarin TV is preparing to launch a live, infotainment show series "I-I-YO-NE! Wan-Yud-Sud-Jeng*" based on a popular TBS infotainment program, in January 2016. With the Japanese expression for "Awesome! (I-I-YO-NE!)" in its title, this live weekend show will introduce viewers to the latest cultural trends of Thailand, ranging from recommended books, movies, gourmet food, places to visit, smart phone apps, etc. Highlighting the program will be a 24-minute travel-infotainment segment "I-I-YO-NE! JAPAN" which will introduce viewers to awesome scenic spots and "can't miss" delicacies for foodies, in various local regions of Japan.
