
All television programs broadcast to the local TBS station and all the JNN stations are sent from the TV master control room. Parallel operation system is used to ensure reliability, and its completely automatic system is executed with a Process Controller (PC) that controls the broadcasting equipment and with a Data Processor (DP) that manages the time for all programs broadcasted. All broadcasting equipment employs a digital signal format, using the D-2 format for video signals and the AES/EBU format for audio signals.
TBS's largest Studio A and B (both are 860 square meters) along with Studio C and Studio D are used for broadcasting programs live. The Studio N is for broadcasting news programs, and Studio P (panorama) is mainly used for broadcasting sports programs. Studio E and F are small studios for universal use. Studio F are designed for Virtual studio in daily use.The HDTV program can be shot in all studios except Studio N.

The HDTV editing rooms is located on the 6th floor of the broadcasting center. The editing room has the capacity for processing fully digital signals. Any VTR formats can be processed including 1080/24P D-cinema format. Also located on the 6th floor is the MA room, which houses a multi-track audio tape recorder used to mix the sound effects required for a program with the voice and natural noise previously recorded in the studio.
Radio broadcasts are automatically sent out to the TBS local station and JRN network stations using HDD-based audio files. All audio signals are transmitted as digital signals in AES/EBU format enabling high-quality music programs to be aired.
