This is a dramatization of a popular comic by Kenshi Hirokane published in the "Weekly Young Magazine" from 1980 to 1989. Set in a private detective's office on a shopping street in Shimo-Akatsuka, Tokyo, each episode has a different feel to it - there are human-interest stories, murder mysteries, stories set in the corporate world, paranormal phenomena, and more. Created by Hitoshi Ohne, director of movies "Moteki" and "Bakuman," and featuring a star-studded cast, this show is a one-of-a-kind detective drama.

One day, the slacker staff of the "Akatsuka Detective Agency," Goro (Eita) and Gure (Go Morita), are called to the office by Director Kaoru (Tomoko Yamaguchi). A client named Kawada (Atsushi Ito) makes an impossible request - to find his daughter who died in a traffic accident. He says he wants to show his wife, who is in a coma from the same accident, a child who looks like their daughter. Goro and Gure feel sorry for the man and take on the request. With the help of an acquaintance working at a TV station, they start by putting on an audition for child actors.
