TBS Broadcasting Center – the Big Hat

The TBS Broadcasting Center is our headquarters in the heart of Tokyo’s Akasaka district. Atop this building is a huge parabolic antenna deck measuring 36 meters in diameter. When viewed from below, this deck resembles a hat, so the center is affectionately called the “Big Hat.”

The broadcasting center houses nine TV studios and eight radio studios. About 6,000 people work at the Big Hat, which operates around the clock to deliver programs across Japan.
